Fifa: Michel Platini to announce presidency bid
By:
Unknown
On: 4:09 AM
Uefa president Michel Platini will announce later this week he wants to be the next president of Fifa.
The BBC has learned that Platini - after receiving indications of support from
four continental confederations
- will be a candidate when the poll is held on 26 February next year.
The 60-year-old former France international midfielder could declare as early as Wednesday.
Swiss Sepp Blatter, 79, has been in charge of Fifa since 1998.
He is standing down in February as a result of a corruption crisis at world football's governing body.
And Platini is the overwhelming favourite to replace him.
Along with the backing of his own European confederation he is understood to have gained support from South America (Conmebol), North, Central America and the Caribbean (Concacaf) and, significantly, Asia (AFC).
If every football association within those confederations voted for Platini he would secure 144 votes - more than enough to be elected as Blatter's successor.
That however is unlikely to happen - given some football associations will back rival candidates or abstain. However, Platini would still be expecting to poll a significant number of votes.
Play media
The election is due to be held in Zurich at an
emergency congress attended by the Fifa member associations. Candidates
have until 26 October to be nominated.
Blatter a victim, says 2018 chief
Platini was elected Uefa president for a third term in March, when he stood unopposed.
He marked his re-election by highlighting the need to curb the rise of hooliganism in Europe, rejected calls to boycott the 2018 World Cup in Russia, and called for "a better Fifa".
Under his presidency, Uefa has seen the European Championship finals expanded to include more countries while in club football the Champions League has become a £1bn competition. However, Platini has faced criticism over his support for Qatar staging the 2022 World Cup.
As a player, he won three Ballon d'Or titles and a European Cup with Juventus, while also helping France to European Championship success in 1984.
Meanwhile, Fifa's reform taskforce is leaderless more than a week after being announced.
The governing body said on Monday that an independent person from outside football is being sought to chair the group.
It is thought the confederations and Fifa are now suggesting possible names but there is no indication on when a decision could be made.
Fifa wants the group to report its finding by the end of September.
Woman rejected by mother in will wins £164k inheritance

Heather Ilott went to court after her mother left her estate to three animal charities
A woman cut out of her mother's will has been awarded a £164,000 inheritance in what could prove to be a landmark ruling.
Heather
Ilott, of Ware, Hertfordshire, went to court after her mother Melita
Jackson left her £486,000 estate to animal charities when she died in
2004.The Court of Appeal has ruled she should receive a third of the estate.
The ruling could significantly weaken people's right to leave money to those they want to inherit it, it is thought.
The court heard Mrs Ilott, 54, had eloped at the age of 17 with her boyfriend and, as a result, her mother had never forgiven her and did not want her to receive a penny of her estate. It was left to the RSPCA, RSPB and Blue Cross charities.
Mrs Ilott later married her partner. They have five children and the court heard Mrs Ilott planned to use the inheritance to buy their housing association home.
Analysis
by Clive Coleman, legal affairs correspondentWhen Melita Jackson died in 2004 she made it crystal clear she didn't want her estranged daughter Heather Ilott to benefit, and so left her estate to animal charities with which she had little connection.
The relationship between mother and daughter soured when, aged 17, Heather eloped with her future husband.
Yesterday she was awarded a third of the estate because her mother hadn't left "reasonable provision" for her in the will.
She'll now be able to buy her housing association property and won't lose her state benefits.
Experts say the ruling means you can still disinherit your children but you'll have to explain why and what connects you to those you do leave money to.
That'll make it easier for adult "disinherited" children to challenge wills and claim greater sums by way of reasonable provision.
Mrs Ilott, who was an only child born two months after her father died in an accident, had in 2007 won the right to an inheritance of £50,000 after a district judge concluded she had been "unreasonably" excluded by Mrs Jackson. That ruling was reversed, before Appeal Court judges ruled she was entitled to a share of the money.
'Surprised and disappointed'
When Mrs Ilott appealed to get the amount increased, Mrs Justice Parker dismissed this at the High Court in London, ruling in March 2014 that the previous decision that £50,000 was appropriate could not "be said to be wrong".However, in the latest hearing Lady Justice Arden said Mrs Ilott's mother had been "unreasonable, capricious and harsh" and ruled she should receive a greater proportion of the estate.
In a joint statement, the three charities said they were "surprised and disappointed" by the judgement.
The solicitor representing them, James Aspden from Wilsons LLP, said it was a "worrying decision for anyone who values having the freedom to choose who will receive their property when they die".
David Mitson from Gisby Harrison Solicitors, who made Mrs Jackson's will, said he could not comment on the latest development because of client confidentiality.
Libya trial: Gaddafi son sentenced to death over war crimes
By:

On: 3:57 AM
A
court in Libya has sentenced Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, son of deposed
leader Col Muammar Gaddafi, and eight others to death over war crimes
linked to the 2011 revolution.
More than 30 close associates of Col Gaddafi were tried for suppressing peaceful protests during the uprising.Saif al-Islam was not present in court and gave evidence via video link.
He is being held by a former rebel group from the town of Zintan that refuses to hand him over.
Former head of intelligence for the Gaddafi regime, Abdullah al-Senussi, is among those also facing death by firing squad, as is former PM Baghdadi al-Mahmoudi.
Prosecutors say that he was part of his father's plans to "quell, by all means, the civilian demonstrations against the Gaddafi regime".
Murder and kidnap
Why is Libya lawless?
West's light touch failed Libya
The trial, which opened last year, has been dogged by criticism from human rights agencies, who are concerned about the fairness of Libya's judicial system.
Eight other ex-officials received life sentences and seven were given jail terms of 12 years each, said chief investigator Sadiq al-Sur. Four were acquitted.
The defendants were accused of incitement to violence and murdering protesters during the uprising that eventually toppled Col Gaddafi.
Since his death Libya has been plagued by instability, and currently has no single government.
Instead two warring factions each claim to run the country. An internationally recognised parliament is based in Tobruk, while Tripoli is held by rivals Libya Dawn.
Saif al-Islam has been held in the mountainous town of Zintan since the end of the war, by rebels who are allied to the Tobruk-based government.

Inter Milan v Real Madrid pre-season friendly

Where to watch live
Kick-off is set for 1pm BST. Live coverage of the game will be available on Sky Sports 1 HD.
Overview
Real Madrid come into this clash just 72 hours after they thrashed Manchester City 4-1 to win the Australian group of the International Champions Cup in Melbourne. Goals from Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe and Denis Cheryshev gave the 10-time European champions an emphatic victory to make up for the penalty-shootout defeat they suffered against AS Roma in their first pre-season outing.
It was Real's first win under new coach Rafael Benitez, who will be pleased with the quality and intensity shown by his players against a heavyweight opponent. The Spaniard put out a full strength team against City and is likely to make some changes for the Inter Milan clash given the short turnaround between games.
Meanwhile, Inter will be looking to bounce back after a spectacular goal from Philippe Mexes condemned them to defeat against bitter rivals AC Milan in Shenzhen. The Nerazzurri have faded as a domestic and European force, since securing a historic treble under Jose Mourinho in 2010, and only finished in eighth place in the Serie A last season.
Roberto Mancini will be hoping his team can make a pre-season statement of intent by beating the superstars of Real to help build confidence heading into the new campaign.
What managers say
Rafa Benitez: "I think that with such long journeys pre-season can be tricky. In China now, with the humidity and so on, we'll have to work hard to continue bringing the team up to speed."

Tupac's Former Bodyguard "Big Frank" Reveals Who Killed The Legendary Rapper
By:

On: 1:48 AM
Who knows better than someone who was there 24/7. You can judge for your self tho... read up
Tupac Shakur’s bodyguard “Big Frank” Alexander was the rapper’s right hand man,
and was not only there the fateful night he was shot, but saw it happen. In an interview
attempting to clear himself from any fault in the rap icon’s death,
Frank reveals who was behind the murder.
Source
Death Row Security
Before becoming Tupac’s bodyguard, Alexander had spent eleven years in the Marines, and had also trained as a world-class bodybuilder. He was working as a prison security guard when he was given the opportunity to work security for Death Row Records, which was Pac’s label.

Driving Crazy
Shakur requested “Big Frank” become his personal bodyguard after Alexander saved Snoop Dogg from being shot in New York. The two had a lot of fun together. Tupac used to drive like a maniac in an attempt to lose his security, but Frank was usually able to keep up with him.

Smoke All Day
They used to call Tupac “Weed” because he was smoking pot around the clock. As soon as he got up in the morning, the rapper would roll himself a Philly blunt and smoke. Frank describes Pac’s loves as: money, weed, and then women.
Tyson's Punch-Out
Mike Tyson used to hang out with Tupac a lot. The two bonded over being rebellious bad boys. One time Pac brought Tyson on stage during a performance and the former heavyweight champion went crazy like a teenage girl screaming over the rapper.
100s Of Women
No surprise to anyone, Tupac was hooking up with a lot of women. “Big Frank” says he must have been with hundreds of women while he was guarding him. Some of them included Madonna, O.J. Simpson’s daughter, and Faith Evans (Notorious B.I.G.’s wife).

Fight At Fight
They were at one of Mike Tyson’s fights the night of the shooting. A gang member of the Crips, Orlando Anderson, who had beef with some members of Death Row, was at the fight too. When Tupac saw him, he ran over and knocked the Crip member down with a few punches.
These 70 businesses earn less than $201 each for Donald Trump
By:

On: 12:57 AM
But as we can see in his financial disclosure to the U.S. Office of
Government Ethics, released on Wednesday, there are quite a few things
that the 2016 GOP presidential candidate doesn't make money on. About 70
of the 168 sources of assets and income in his filing make The Donald
less than $201, and some make no money at all.
To be fair, the other 100-plus sources of income provide a nice boost, with one golf course in D.C. netting him $14 million.
1. Aircraft
Trump has three aircraft with a total net value somewhere between $7 to $35 million, but they're just sitting around, not making him a profit. Granted, what is one supposed to do with three large and expensive aircraft? But it's a high price to pay for some flash.
2. Beauty pageants
Trump apparently makes no money from Trump Pageants, though he does make about $3.4 million from Miss Universe — one of the world's largest beauty pageants — which Trump co-owns with NBC. The pageant may not make as much money last year, however, as he has lost a lot of support lately after Trump made negative comments about immigrants from Mexico. Mexico recently decided to withdraw its participation from the Miss Universe pageant. Univision and NBC also recently announced that it would not air the Miss America or the Miss Universe pageant this year.
3. Books
Trump is the author of 16 financial self-help books teaching people how to be a billionaire like him. However, 10 of them are making him less than $201 each in royalties. These titles — all variations on the theme of making money and staying tough — include: Think Like a Billionaire, The Art of the Comeback, The America We Deserve, Trump 101: The Way to Success, Never Give Up, The Best Real Estate Advice I Ever Received, The Way to the Top and Trump: Surviving at the Top.
4. Residential real estate
For a man whose fortune came from his work in real estate, it is striking to note that 10 of Trump's properties did not net him any income over $201 this past year. This includes the Trump Tower Triplex on the high end, worth at least $50 million, and Country Apartments on the lower end, which is worth somewhere between $1,001 and $15,000.
5. Classic cars
Trump Classic Cars, a car show, did not provide the billionaire with a billion dollars this year — nor a million. While it is unclear where or when Trump held a car show, we can be fairly certain that the luxury car industry is one where he is not dominant.
6. Land
The presidential candidate is letting the a few land investments lie fallow in the Dominican Republic and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The property in the D.R. is worth at least $5 million. Can it earn him some money? If he thinks of it, it be the site of a future Trump luxury hotel.

NEW BID: Second Kenyan man offers 500 cows to marry Malia Obama

Another Kenyan suitor has upped the bid to marry the Obamas’ daughter Malia, offering 500 cows as a dowry — 10 times what lawyer Felix Matagei offered last month,
My friend Kiprono is playing jokes with the US president’s daughter. How can you offer only 50 cows for the daughter of the most powerful man in the world?
“She is very beautiful, nice and cute,” Jeff ole Kishau told the Kenyan news site The Star. “I am not able to sleep at night, I love Malia Obama very much. I do not know good English but I know that I love her.”
Kishau also said he would hand over the profits from the sale of his lands to President Obama — if he is given his phone number.
Matagei had offered 70 sheep, 50 cows and 30 goats to marry Malia and fulfill his “dream of marrying Malia.”
“I have never fallen in love with any minor, I only like the first family. My Kalenjin customary law is consistent with justice and morality,” he said on his Facebook page last Thursday evening, the Star said.
But Kishau has gone further: He has named the Maasai Elders he would appoint to represent him in the marriage negotiations. Under cultural norms, the Maasai can’t talk directly with a love interest and name elders to handle talks for her hand in marriage.
“I am old enough to have babies but she will know my age once we get married. I will give the family 500 cows and sell all my Maasai lands just to win her,” he said. “I will be the happiest man in the world if the most powerful man in the world becomes my father-in-law.”

Tyga Asked Caitlyn Jenner’s Permission To Marry Kylie Jenner
By:
Unknown
On: 6:04 AM
Tyga wants to marry Kylie Jenner and he’s already asked Caitlyn Jenner for her daughter’s hand in marriage and HollywoodLife.com has just learned the sweet way he did it! It involves the ESPYS and a beautiful bouquet of roses.
Tyga, 25, will not back down! The rapper has been discussing asking Kylie Jenner, 17, to marry him for months and he is finally setting the wheels in motion to make sure he can pop the question around even though Tyga didn’t attend the 2015 ESPYS where Caitlyn Jenner, 66, was awarded the prestigious Arthur Ashe Award, he did send her a dozen white roses and a bottle of champagne to congratulate her! But that’s not all. we’ve been told he also send a pretty intense letter about his love for Kylie!“When Tyga realized he knew he wasn’t going to be able to attend [the ESPYS], he sent Cailtyn up a dozen of white roses with a bottle of Ace of Spades champagne,” our insider tells us. “His letter was overboard though. He explained to Caitlyn why he couldn’t attend the show and apologized. Then, since the day was all about love and courage, Tyga got a bit bold and wrote this sweet little note about how much he loves Kylie, and asked Cailtyn if she has the courage to give her permission for him to marry Kylie and if so, would she do the honor of walking her daughter down the isle.” Our source goes on to say: “Tyga’s really on a mission to win Cailtyn’s trust. He doesn’t want Cait to think he’s an opportunist or to look at him sideways. He wants her to accept him the way she accepts Kanye [West]. Cait and Kylie are extremely close and Caitlyn’s the glue that holds that family together. Tyga wants to be family and Cait can make that happen.”
But how did Caitlyn react to all of this on such a big day for her emotionally? “Tyga knows Cailtyn received his message. Kylie texted him and told him she did. Kylie also said Cait smiled and laughed when she read it, looked at her and said ‘this man is something else, he’s a charmer all right.'” We think this is really sweet but we don’t think Kylie should get married to Tyga because he doesn’t want to tie-the-knot with a prenup. Meanwhile, Caitlyn has already told Tyga she thinks they are moving too fast and has told Kylie she’s too young to get married. We just hope that Kylie to run off an elope!
YG Discusses Los Angeles Studio Shooting

YG also explains why he deleted the photos from his Instagram.
YG spoke to KMEL's Shay Diddy about when he got shot in the hip last month.
YG says that his daughter was at the studio earlier that day.
"It was just wild," he says.
The rapper says that he originally wanted to record his album in Atlanta, but those plans didn't work out. The shooting happened in the Studio City section of Los Angeles outside of the studio where he was recording Still Krazy, the follow up to 2014's My Krazy Life.
"That's the reason why I don't be in LA recording my album," he says, "'cause you sit somewhere for too long and somebody might find out."
YG says that he further addresses the shooting on the single "Twist My Fingers
"I'm just stating facts," he says of the track, "what's going on right now, how I'm feeling right now."YG explains why he deleted all the pictures off his Instagram except for one of him in bandages recovering from the shooting."I was like, 'Fuck everything,'" he says. "I'm taking off all my pictures from Instagram. Fuck that shit. Ima come back when I come back. I just had to chill out, sit think, get my mind right. When you, when somebody get shot, it's either you gonna about it or you gonna, you feel me?"YG says he consulted Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent on Still Krazy, which has yet to receive a release date.
